Bula!

For those of you who haven't heard already, we've just returned (well, nearly a week ago now) from a relaxing holiday in Fiji. We flew out of Brisbane on the 8th and got back last Monday, the 16th.

I think Jules and I both agreed that it was the best holiday we ever had. We pretty much did nothing for a little over a week and it was great. The thought that this was probably the last holiday that we'd be having by ourselves wasn't too far from our minds either. :-)

We stayed in a resort on Denarau, west of Nadi. The weather was pretty much perfect for the whole week (except for a couple of cloudy days), so it was ideal for sitting by the pool, swimming in the pool, drinking at the pool bar (mocktails for Jules!) or just sitting on our balcony enjoying the view. Speaking of which...

I know it looks a little cloudy there - we must have taken that on one of the two slightly cloudy days.

Apart from a couple of trips into Nadi for supplies, the only other excursion we went on was a day trip to Tivua island (or Mystery island, as they called it). The trip out and back was on a tall ship, so Jules was loving that. I wasn't loving it quite so much myself (I have a tendency to get a little seasick), but it was definitely an experience!

The holiday seemed to be over a little too quickly for my liking - I could have easily spent another week over there. But... I had to get back to work, and we had to get ready for our interstate guests who arrived last Thursday.

We're already trying to work out when we can get over there next (and who we can drag along with us for some free babysitting!)

Until next time...

Surely you need a fully qualified teacher on this trip to Fiji! Ok I am used to working with kids who are a little older, but hey, I am versatile! ;)
